Dietary life style changes - Avoid foods that are high in fat, spicy, deep fried, chocolate and caffeine, all of these foods are known to cause acid reflux. Also being to full can cause acid reflux to occur. Eating smaller more frequent meals can help by not triggering acid reflux to occur as much. Making sure you don't eat to much before bed can help as well for when you lie down. Alcohol can also cause stomach acids to increase, one drink may be alright. Losing weight can help with acid reflux as well, gaining weight can cause symptoms from the fatty tissues pressing against the stomach. ignoring these will make symptoms worse over time or stall you from improving your symptoms.

Non-dietary lifestyle changes - Smoking, It can cause acid reflux constantly, if your not able to smoking try cutting back and don't smoke 3 hours before bed. Stress can also lead to acid reflux by increasing the production of stomach acid and slowing down the digestion process, gentle exercises like yoga can help reduce stress. Wearing loose clothes that don't squeeze your body can also help, tight clothes can sometimes cause your blood pressure to rise and stomach acid to reflux. Ignoring these, again will keep you from having a holistic cure for acid reflux.
